Our goal is to feed ourselves and our community with healthy, wholesome, natural foods. You can feel good knowing that your food was grown without any synthetic additives or sprays, and that your meat has been inspected and produced at an ontario-approved facility.
If you stop by the farm to pick up products, or see us out in the community, say hello and let us know you've found our webpage! We love meeting people and look forward to meeting you :)
-Your Local Farmers; Andrea & Brendan
Leaving a life of offices and commuting behind, Andrea & Brendan moved up to the farm in July 2020...mid-covid pandemic. Our first farmer's market that fall was at Kate's Kountry Kitchen, the local truck stop. We sold a few squash and cucumbers that we were able to harvest and when we watched a child spend his own money on a cucumber and take a big bite, I think we both knew that we were in the right place. Doing the right thing for us, for our little family, and for the community and environment. Small farming is a passion for us, and we hope to share it with all of our customers and friends.
Check out some local places we've been featured:
An article about the Sudbury East West Nipissing (SEWN) farm stand tour 2023 and the role Andrea and the farm took in organizing it.
Our Growing Experiment is a podcast based out of Sudbury. They've interviewed many local farmers and artisans in Northern Ontario, including Andrea!
This past October (2023), Walsh Forest Farms meat was featured in a 6-course wine pairing dinner at 1886 Lake House Bistro. The dish was Rabbit and Pork Agnolotti. Looks delicious!
